This tour will bring you to some of Oman’s hidden natural treasures. Explore the wilderness and the nature of Oman off the beaten track. Experinece the vast emptiness of the desert. Enjoy the serene beaches and the blue Ocean. Spend nights under the clear sky. One in a lifetime experience you will have in Oman.
Arrival in MCT international Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon outside visit the grand Mosque, a religious landmark of Muscat and splendour of unique Islamic architecture. Then you will go past the Opera House, the Gulfs only concert hall. Stroll around the old city quarter and have a photo-stop at the Qasr Al Alam, the official Palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum with its wealth of information and exhibits on the country’s culture, tradition and heritage. Muttrah souq is one of the most beautiful oriental markets in the Gulf States. Step into the fish market, stroll along the Corniche to admire the beautiful merchant houses and experience the shopping in the busy souk.

Catch the flight in the morning and travel to Oman’s newest city of Duqm. Upon arrival you will be picked up by your guide and transfer to Shannah. The ferry brings you to the Masirah Island.

Enjoy a scenic drive in the Island. Explore the nature of the Island. Enjoy the pristine beaches, landscapes and abundant birdlife in the island. With some luck you might be able to view sea turtles as well. Catch the ferry and arrive the mainland in the evening. Drive to Duqm.
Overnight in Duqm.
Drive to Jiddat Al Harasis to the country’s single nature reserve for wild Arabian Oryx antelopes. Visit the breeding center and learn more about this rare antelopes. No less interesting is the so-called Rock Garden in Duqm, a lunar landscape with strangely shaped rocks that adorn the amazing landscapes of nature.

On the way to Shuwaymiah we make a short detour to the beach side to watch some interesting landscapes. The place is called red lagoon, a small isolated lagoon with reddish colored water, and rich of birds. You may see hundreds and thousands of shore birds at the beach. Continue along the coast to Shuwaymiah. Arrived in Shuwaymiah take a walk in the spectacular landscape in a Wadi with a small waterfall. Wild camping in the Wadi.

In to the Empty Quarter. You will see the Dhofars oil fields by passing Marmul. Continue the tour to the ‘Lost City of Ubar’. After walking around the site, proceed to the Empty Quarter desert and enjoy the sunset over the sand dunes.
Overnight in Al Khadaf camp. A permanent basic camp.
On the way back to Salalah, drive into Wadi ‘Dawka’ (UNESCO World heritage site) known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’, which is also well-known as the biggest collection of the naturally grown Frankincense trees in the region. Check in to the hotel. A short Salalah city tour in the afternoon. Return to the hotel and time to relax and enjoy the facilities at your hotel.

Ayn Sahalnoot is one of the most attractive natural springs in Dhofar region, surrounded by astonishing landscapes with natural rock formations. Proceed along the beach of Mughsail where the white sand touches the deep blue of the Indian Ocean. A drive along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road with its breathtaking cliffs on either side takes you to one of the most attractive Beaches in Dhofar, The Fizayah Beach. On the way along you can see the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat. Spend a relaxing time at Fizaya Beach.
Overnight in Salalah.
Say good-bye to your memorable stay in Oman. Transfers are arranged to bring you to the airport for your departure flight.

Sultan Qaboos Mosque/ Grand Mosque is only opened for visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 8:00 – 11:00 am.
All the required gear for outdoor camping will be provided. Guests may bring their own camping gear, but not necessary.
Dune bashing during the desert tour is an adventures activity. Guest may participate this event at their own risk.
One night in The Sands camp in Rub Al Khali desert. Camp is basic with simple tents with solid beds. Bed linen is provided. Toilets (not attached), piped water and electricity available. Buffet dinner with local specialities and simple breakfast will be provided.
Please note that the swimming at Fizaya beach is optional and limited to the time frame. Swimming is at guest’s own risk. No life guards are available.
This tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy ride. Pregnant women and children under 6 may not participate

Please ensure you dress respectfully. Knees and shoulders should be covered during visit of religious places. Please pay attention to the specified dress code by visiting Sultan Qaboos grand mosque from inside.
